USDA WFC STP 5.4 Abrasion Test

Disc and wear plate specimens used in USDA Forest Service Wildland Fire Chemicals (WFC) Standard Test Procedure Section 5.4 (Abrasion Test). The disc and plate specimens are made of 2024-T3 aluminum. The disc specimen is 4" in diameter, at least 0.3125" thick, and has two 3/8" holes drilled through the center. The wear plate is 4.02" x 5" x 0.3125", and also has two 3/8" holes drilled in the center. These holes prevent a low-pressure area in the center of the specimens.
