SAE AMS2438 Test Specimens

Separate test specimens used in quality testing by SAE AMS2438 (Chromium Plating). These separate test specimens (or test strips) are used in plating quality testing when the plated parts are of a shape, size, or form that doesn't allow testing per the methods outlined SAE AMS2438. Each specimen is 1" x 4" (minimum thickness 0.025"). The test strips are made from the same metal as the plated parts or from low carbon steel.
