MIL-DTL-53072 Test Panels

Test panels (also called specimens and coupons) used in MIL-DTL-53072 verification testing (Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) System Application Procedures and Quality Control Inspection). The standard test panels are 4" x 6" x 0.032". The test specimens may be 1008 steel, 2024 aluminum, or another material representative of the coated material. 
These test panels are required by three sections of MIL-DTL-53072: §4.2.2 (Pre-production Test Surfaces), §4.2.3.6 (Adhesion), and §4.2.3.7 (Corrosion Resistance). Nonstandard test specimens are available on request.
