ASTM F483 Corrosion Test Specimens

Test specimens used in ASTM F483 total immersion corrosion testing for aircraft maintenance chemicals. This test uses four test specimens of the same alloy (from the same sheet stock). Each specimen measures 2" x 1" x 0.06" and has a 1/8" (0.125") mounting hole at one end. Three of the four specimens are used in the immersion test, and then are compared the the fourth specimen after testing. Metaspec makes ASTM F483 test specimens in a wide range of metals and alloys, including aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, brass, and bronze.
