ASTM D256 Plastic Izod Test Specimens

Plastic test specimens used in ASTM D256 (Determining the Izod Pendulum Impact Resistance of Plastics). These specimens can be made from a variety of plastic materials, including polycarbonate, polypropylene, reinforced nylon, acetal, and ABS. The standard specimen size is 2.5" x 1/2"; the thickness (or 'width') is between 0.118" - 0.5". The specimen is notched on one side.
