ASTM D2095 Bar & Rod Test Specimens

Bar and rod test specimens used in adhesive testing by ASTM D2095 (Tensile Strength of Adhesives by Means of Bar and Rod Specimens). These test specimens may be made of metal, plastic, or glass, depending on the desired test conditions. The bar specimen is a square bar measuring 1.5"x1/2"x1/2". The rod specimen is 1.5" long with a 1/2" diameter. The bar and rod specimens are adhered at one end ("butt-joined") for testing. ASTM D2095 requires testing five specimens for each test condition.
