ASTM D1748 Dummy Panel

Dummy test panels used in the ASTM D1748 Humidity Cabinet test. This test measures the corrosion prevention or rust protection qualities of metal preservatives and rust inhibitors. ASTM D1748 is widely used by commercial, R&D, and military test laboratories. 
 
Dummy panels are used in ASTM D1748 testing to fill spaces in the humidity cabinet that are not taken by steel test panels. Dummy panels can be made of stainless steel or acrylic. The dummy test panels are 2" x 4" x 1/8" with two 1/8" corner holes on one long side.
