ASTM D1184 Test Specimens

Test specimens used in adhesive testing by ASTM D1184 (Flexural Strength of Adhesive Bonded Laminated Assemblies). The test specimens may be made of wood or metal.  Each specimen is a 1.5" x 0.75" x 0.01" rectangle, and is prepared in a panel of at least 5 specimens. These test specimens are designed to be laminated together with the test adhesive and then stressed to measure the metal shear strength or wood flexural strength to find the flexural strength of the adhesive.
