ASTM B537 Atmospheric Exposure Test Panels

Steel test panels used in ASTM B537 (Rating of Electroplated Panels Subjected to Atmospheric Exposure). This method describes how to evaluate a 4" x 6" test panel that has been exposed to atmospheric conditions (a type of outdoors corrosion test). ASTM B537 specifically considers plated or coated surfaces such as nickel/chromium or copper/nickel/chromium on steel. Other substrates or surface coatings may be used.
