SAE AMS-QQ-N-290 ยง4.4.4.1 Test Specimens

Separate test specimens used in quality testing by SAE AMS-QQ-N-290 (Electrodeposited Nickel Plating). These separate test specimens (or test strips) are used in plating quality testing when the plated parts are of a shape, size, or form that doesn't allow testing per the methods outlined SAE AMS-QQ-N-290. Each specimen is 1" x 4" x 0.040". The test strips are made from the same metal as the plated parts.
